Hi! I would like to inquire about the specific repertoire requirements for the piano professional category. May I use a virtuosic etude as one piece of my repertoire? I noticed that the Chinese version of the regulations mentions etudes, but the English version does not, which left me a bit confused.

Hi, I’m very interested in participating the competition and festival, but I’m wondering about the exact date and time for the competition, is it hold start on July 16 or 19-20? I have another festival which would be ended on July 17, so I think I can arrive then but not sure if it conflicts with the competition. Please let me know any further exact information. Thank you!

Dear CIMC Organizing Committee,

We are the organizers of the Orchestra from the Huangpu District Youth Art Activity Center in Shanghai, China. We have learned about your competition and are very interested in participating. We would like to inquire about the following details:

1. Amateur Category Video Submission: If our team is fortunate enough to advance to the final round, is it required for the final performance repertoire to match the pieces submitted in the initial video?

2. Participant Limits: We would like to know if there are any restrictions on the number of members in the chamber music group.

3. Instrument Rental: For the final round, will the organizing committee provide rental services for large instruments such as double basses or percussion instruments?

4. Registration Fees and Payment: Could you kindly clarify the registration fee amount and the accepted payment methods?

5. Final round address: We would like to know what’s the specific address of the final round.

We appreciate your time and assistance in addressing these questions. Please feel free to contact us for any further information required. We look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Yunyun Hu

Good day,
I am parent of Zachariah (18), and his previous teacher, Toshiko Suzuki has sent us information about this competition and festival.

Please clarify which category and level he should enter (young musician or young artist). He has not started college yet.

How much is the competition? We are interested in the festival, how much and how do we apply for a scholarship?

Infinite gratitude
Yimare

Hello! I was wondering if only students participating in the festival can join the competition, or if these two are separate events.

Dear team,
the prizes are for category , I mean, all instruments compete between them for three prizes although the instrument one play, is it right? I say because if there is 25 in a category and there is a lot ot of pianists, ...only some strings..nada we libe so far..to clear it

Thanks a lot!

I have a question. I am considering changing the piece Bach to Beethoven in final .In that case, would it be okay to play just one movement of sonata? Or should I play all the movements?

My category is Concert Artist in Rising Star Category.

Best regards,
Akane

Dear Sir or Madam,
Hi I'm a participant of professional concert artist. I'm wondering that is there time limits. I only could find the repertoires (4 different period pieces) but I couldn't find any time limits something. And also, Do you have any support or information related to accommodation such as accommodation? I have to fly to do this final round of the competition. Thank you!

Hello, I’m reaching out to see if there might be any waivers for the application fee? I’m very interested, but I cannot afford the application cost at this moment. I sincerely appreciate your time, and look forward to your response. I would be more than happy to send examples of my playing, if that may be desired as a part of the consideration for this financial aid. I am currently a full time college student who just graduated with a Master’s Degree under the tutelage of Daniel Veis at Park University’s International Center for Music. My income from teaching goes mostly towards the basics, so I don’t have much expendable income per week ($50 maximum).

Thank you!
