Prizes

Thousands of dollars in prizes including an exclusive recording contract, worldwide concert opportunities, and cash prizes!  The CIMC also offers all competitors the chance to work with the competition's renowned faculty.

Within each competition classification (i.e. age range), awards will be given for First, Second, Third, and Honorable Mention/s. Winners shall receive a certain amount of cash as well as a certificate. If, within any classification, competitors’ scores do not meet a minimum level agreed upon by the Jury, then it is possible that some awards may remain undeclared. All finalists shall receive a performance certificate and teachers shall receive an Outstanding Teacher certificate.

Best performance of a Classical Sonata

Best performance of a work by J.S. Bach

Best performance of a Baroque work

Best performance of a Romantic work

Best performance of a Contemporary work

Best performance of a work by a Russian composer

Best Chamber Music group

Best Piano Duo (2-piano or Four-Hands)

Best Collaborative pianist in each instrument category (string, brass, woodwind)

Best Performance of an Italian song

Best Performance of a Musical selection

Best Collaborative pianist (vocal)

* Selected winners shall also be included on an internationally distributed recording of the IIPA Competition Winners.  This recording will be released under the A Life of Music Record Label, USA.

* Selected winners will be chosen to play on winner’s concerts at selected venues in the US, Europe, and Asia.
